Volunteer Coordinator job description (Voluntary)
General Description
Responsible for supporting Cardigan Internet Radio’s day-to-day coordination of volunteers; and on-boarding of new volunteers.
Desired experience
-
Volunteer management experience, preferably with a nonprofit community organisation.

Experience as a volunteer, preferably with a nonprofit community organisation.

Experience in mediation or conflict resolution
-
Experience training or teaching volunteers preferred
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Excellent organisational and time management skills and attention to detail

Radio experience a plus

Ability to learn and teach skills applicable to volunteers

Ability to work well under pressure and without direct supervision
Essential Functions
-
Schedule, coordinate, and supervise off-air volunteers
-
Conduct volunteer inductions
-
Coordinate volunteer training in cooperation with other staff

Direct volunteers to appropriate areas of work

Assist in conflict resolution between volunteers and in volunteer grievances

Promote Cardigan Internet Radio volunteering

Attend staff and team meetings where possible

Other position related duties as assigned

Responsible for maintaining volunteer records.
